I was fortunate to visit San Jose – the “Capital of Silicon Valley”- for a business convention recently. Travel planners note that the area receives over 300 days of sunshine a year and San Jose didn’t disappoint. The weather was mid-70s and perfect. One day I was able to walk around the convention center for a break from the conference to enjoy a little sun. Here are a few highlights of what I found that should be visited if you have a quick trip to San Jose.
Just a couple of blocks from the convention center, it is a beautiful building nestled in modern downtown.
If you’re in the mood for a little culture, visit Silicon’s Valley premier art museum including notable collections and events.
A great auditorium to attend events, concerts, and productions.
Located in Discovery Park, become a game piece in this life-sized version of the popular board game.
Located in The Sainte Claire hotel, enjoy great Italian food, friendly service, and nice atmosphere.
Along with light rail, bus routes, and taxis, take advantage of the Bay Area Bike Share to get around Downtown San Jose.
