New Yorkers, Go Out and Hit the Water for City of Water Day!

Sometimes as New Yorkers, we forget that we can enjoy our waterfront for more than just the scenic view. On July 18th, Metropolitan Waterfront Alliance (MWA) is promoting water activities throughout the area with the City of Water Day Festival from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM! The daylong event is organized by MWA for residents throughout the New York and New Jersey area.

If you ever wanted to kayak or ride a boat along the Hudson, Saturday is your day to test it all out since all of the activities are free of costs. There’s even a Cardboard Kayaking Race!

Most of the activities will take place on Governors Island and in Hoboken’s Maxwell Place Park, but you can also check out the City of Water  Day website for all of the locations and the activities at each place. If you’re more of a land person, don’t worry about it because there will be food and land-based activities at Governor’s Island!

Happy City of Water Day!
