The summer concert season in DFW started off with a bang. The screams inside AT&T Stadium were deafening when the Queen B herself, Beyoncé, hit the stage and could probably be as far away as Addison. Then just a few days later Rihanna brought her world tour to Texas. It doesn’t matter if you weren’t lucky enough to score tickets to either one of these shows. There are plenty of other great concerts coming to venues in the DFW area. Here are some of the best DFW concerts coming this summer.
June 4 | Kenny Chesney and Miranda Lambert |AT&T Stadium in Arlington
Dubbed the “country music spectacular of the summer,” Kenny Chesney’s Spread the Love Tour promises to be one of the most energetic. He doesn’t do a lot of talking while on stage. Instead, the country singer harnesses the power of his music and rolls from one song to another seamlessly. With Miranda Lambert and Old Dominion also performing, the stadium will be rocking for hours.
June 11 | I Love the 90s |Verizon Theatre at Grand Prairie
A single song has the ability to transport you to another time in your life. Just imagine the nostalgic journey through the 90s you’ll experience at this concert featuring Salt N Pepa, Color Me Badd, Kid N Play, All 4 One and Young MC.
June 24 | Vans Warped Tour | Gexa Energy Pavilion in Dallas
American Authors? Check. Good Charlotte? Check. Less than Jake? Check. Yellowcard? Check. These are just a handful of the bands that will be playing at the Vans Warped Tour this year. Download the Official Warped App to create your own schedule that includes favorite bands and ride on the Rally Bus to skip the hassle of parking.
July 15 | Weezer and Panic! At The Disco| Gexa Energy Pavilion in Dallas
You can expect plenty of sing-alongs during this stop on Weezer’s amphitheater jaunt. That’s part of the charm of seeing this band live. Front man Rivers Cuomo always seems comfortable on stage and moves from one alt-radio hit to the next easily and jovially, getting the audience involved whenever possible. Panic! At The Disco may have a different style on stage, but still puts on a fun show.
August 11 | The Project | Vitruvian Park in Addison
Sometimes the best concerts aren’t the ones in huge stadiums, but rather the ones in more intimate venues. Enter Vitruvian Nights. The Project, a high-energy band that plays a little bit of everything, caps the free summer concert series in Vitruvian Park. Come early for the gourmet food trucks and stay late for an unforgettable night with your friends.
