Adorably Awesome Dog Birthday Party Ideas

Everybody loves their dogs, right? People’s birthdays are very special, so why shouldn’t your favorite pet’s birthday be just as fun? Here are some ideas to throw an awesome dog birthday party!

Pick a Place

You should, of course, have a nice, safe and dog friendly place to plan your party. But where? Consider your yard. If you don’t have a yard, no problem! You can use your local park or dog park. If all of your friend’s dogs are toilet trained, you could have an indoor party. Or consider having your party at a nearby dog-friendly beach!

Send Out Invitations

You can order special dog birthday invitations or make your own creative ones. One Charming Party shares this adorable invite on her blog.

Decorate With Doggy Decor

Go all out with tablecloths, paper plates, bone-shaped snacks and paw-print napkins. I absolutely love this bark-day party featured on Pretty my Party!

Bake Up a Batch of Pup Cakes

Food for a Dog Birthday party can be fun and whimsical. If pets are going to be present, you will need two types of food – one for humans and one for the animals.

For the humans, stick with the puppy theme and serve up bone-shaped sandwiches, puppy chow and puppy face cupcakes.

For the dogs, whip up some dog-friendly cupcakes like these Apple & Peanut Butte Pupcakes from Sugar and Soul. And make sure you have plenty of water bowls handy.

Whatever you do to celebrate your dog’s birthday, he’ll love you unconditionally. That is the best part of being a dog owner afterall.
