Believe it or not, summer is right around the corner! I know I’m ready for warm weather, tan skin, and summer concerts! Last week, Pop Country Star Dierks Bentley announced his return to Red Rocks Amphitheater this summer. On my birthday no less! Needless to say, I was quick to jump online to buy tickets! This got me thinking about all the other concerts in store for Summer 2014, and all the purchases I’d be making in preparation. … And these 5 things are absolute must haves!
Sunscreen. Sunscreen with high SPF is essential at high altitudes. But SPF is just one factor in choosing and wearing a sunscreen. How a sunblock smells, feels, and works with your makeup determines whether you’ll actually rub it in. That’s why Coppertone oil-free faces SPF 50 is ideal. Fragrance- and oil- free, the amped-up sun protection doesn’t compromise the lightweight texture. So you can apply, and reapply, liberally, without fear of clogged pores.
Water Bottle. Staying hydrated through the warm summer days and nights is critical and the 321 water bottle is great for fashionable thirst quenching! The plunger resembles a coral reef, which is fitting as this product hails from Australia. A carbon-filter tablet helps the mechanism absorb impurities and eliminates bad odors and tastes.
Folding Chair. The Brown Jordan Cricket Chair was originally introduced in 1979, and now that is has been redesigned, it is even more comfortable and portable than ever! Chief Brand Officer, Stephen Elton discusses the Cricket II here.
Lightweight Coat.A coat or blanket, if it’s an outdoor venue like Red Rocks, which gets chilly in the later hours, can be a pain to haul around all day. But the Stowaway Jacket from L.L.Bean is terrific to transport!
Comfy Shoes. During the summer, you are most likely headed to an outdoor venue, and you may have to hoof it up a lot of stairs, so proper footwear is a must. Avoid open toed shoes. Otherwise you may find yourself say “Ouch” all night. Cowboy boots are my go-to. But be careful with your cowboy boots; always wear used cowboy boots because getting used to a brand new pair may hurt your feet. If boots aren’t in your wardrobe, you may consider flats or sneakers.
Whatever concerts you attend this summer, be sure to have fun and enjoy the music!
Although I did plenty of research, I’m not an expert on this subject by any means. If you have any good summer concert tips to share with the rest of us, please leave a comment and tell us!
