5 Not-to-be Missed Seattle Musical Events in January 2015

For decades, venues like The Crocodile, Tractor Tavern and The Neptune Theater have been hosting concerts across all genres. Whether you want to hear what an up-and-coming local band has to offer or prefer to rock out to a group that has already hit the big-time, there are plenty of musical events to choose from.

Gabriel Teodros – January 21

Native northwest rapper Gabriel Teodros brings an eclectic mix of Spanish guitars, horns and snapping snares to create a unique sound all his own. Catch him live at The Crocodile Back Bar on January 21. Tickets are $10 at the door. Dex Amora, Shakiah and EarDr.Umz The MetroGnome are also performing.

Jukebox the Ghost – January 27

Piano-pop group Jukebox the Ghost hits the stage at The Crocodile on January 27. Tickets are $13 in advance.

Country Lips – January 31

The upbeat songs and vocal twang of Country Lips makes for an exciting, must-see live performance at Conor Byrne Pub. Featuring keys, fiddles and an accordion, this honky-tonk band always has the crowd tapping toes in time to the tunes.

Sam Smith – February 2

A year ago, most Americans had no idea who Sam Smith was. Now the six-time Grammy nominated artist is a household name. He is currently touring the U.S. and stops at KeyArena on February 2. Tickets for the show are for sale through Ticketmaster. General admission and reserved seating is available.

My Goodness – February 5

Hometown indie-rock band My Goodness returns to Seattle for a lie performance at Tractor Tavern on February 5. A 21 and over event, tickets are available on Ticketmaster for $12.
