What’s not to love about living in San Diego? Its laidback, flip-flops-and-t-shirt vibe is as good as it gets. And with 70 miles of beaches and comfortable weather year-round, you can always take a date for a romantic stroll in the sand or have a picnic as you watch the sun dip below the horizon at Sunset Cliffs Natural Park. Beyond the beach, there are plenty of other places to enjoy your time with that special someone. Here are three of the best date spots in San Diego.
Sign up for a chocolate making class at Callman Fine Chocolates. During this two-hour class you’ll work in pairs and learn the art of chocolate making, from tempering chocolate to closing shells. When the class is over you get to take the truffles you made home with you (if you didn’t already eat them!). Pair them with some wine and feed them to each other in your favorite romantic spot, or go back to your luxury UDR apartment and eat them while you watch Johnny Depp and Juliette Binoche light up the screen in Chocolat.
Put the top down on your convertible, throw some pillows in the back of your truck, or bring your Lamzac. You can catch two movies for the price of one, and enjoy more conversation and cuddling with your date that you can at the multi-plex.
Sure, Top of the Market is romantic. So is Oceana Coastal Kitchen. But nothing beats dinner and dancing on a three-hour cruise on a luxurious yacht. Instead of looking out on the ocean, you get to see different sights along the way and look back at the sparkling city lights after the sun sets.
